The Stranger's Test: would you walk into your own business?
Google your business name and pretend you have never been there before. Look at the reviews, the photos, your socials. Be honest: would you walk in based on what you saw?
What the test measures
The Stranger's Test measures how much trust your business has online. How many reviews are there? Are they any good? How many comments on your posts did you reply to? Would a stranger trust you at the end?
Why a good sign is no longer enough
A good sign and word of mouth used to be enough. Not anymore. Instead of walking in blind, customers now turn to Google and social media to hunt for proof.
By the time they reach your door, booking page or checkout, they have already decided whether they will buy and whether they will return.
What it should look like
When someone searches for you, your Google Business page, website and social media should all show up. If possible, a few other sites that mention you positively, and on short video apps, other people talking about your business.
