Do I need a photographer for my business?
You need professional imagery when what you sell is judged by how it looks or who you are — product, food, property, coaching, health, anything premium. For everything else, a modern phone plus good light and direction gets you most of the way.
The real gap between phone content and professional content is rarely the camera. It is direction: knowing what shots the brand needs, how to light them, and how they will be used across a site, a feed and an ad. That is why a shoot with a plan beats a shoot with better gear.
Photography earns its cost when it is treated as a library, not an event. One well-planned day should produce a website's worth of imagery, weeks of social content, and the hero shots your ads run on. Booking a photographer for a handful of pretty pictures is where the money gets wasted.
If budget is tight, shoot in this order: the founder or team (trust), the product or space in real use (desire), and results or process (proof). Those three cover almost every page and post you will ever need.
Video usually outperforms stills for attention now, and stills usually outperform video for a website. Most brands need both from the same day, which is exactly how we plan a shoot.
